Since opening the property to the public in 2018, Ross Farm has garnered significant attention from leading press and media in Travel and Design.

Ross Farm was named one of the Top 52 Weekends Away by Good Weekend in 2019, with editor Michael Harry calling it “arguably one of the most inspiring and original accommodation offerings in Australia”. It has been featured on Getaway, The Local Project and local publication Gippslandia, been the cover story for Domain Living, had an 8-page spread in Real Living and received a beautiful write-up in Natalie Walton’s book Still, The Slow Home, among other notable Australian and International publications such as Conde Nast Traveller, and named in Qantas Magazine’s 40 Epic Stays issue.

As the property came together over the years, each of its stages has been covered by The Design Files, who featured the Cabin, Barn and Dairy individually as they were completed. In 2021, Ross Farm Interior Designer Andrea Moore worked closely with TDF on a travel guide, A Perfect Day in South Gippsland, sharing some of her favourite places to eat, drink and explore in the region.

In The Design Files Awards 2020, The Dairy was named Finalist and The Barn was awarded a Commendation for creativity, originality, sustainability, innovation and visionary thinking. The judges of the Interior Design category had the following kind words to say about the project:

“The Barn is an authentic, naturally beautiful project that embodies light, texture and a sophisticated implementation of ‘bare’ detail.”
— Miriam Fanning, Mim Design.

“The sensitive selection of materials and authentic design elements demonstrated a deep understanding of context, giving the interior a unique sophistication and integrity.” — Chelsea Hing, Chelsea Hing Interior Design Studio.

“The Barn by Studio Moore is truly remarkable in that it executes upon a rustic Australian typology with a sophisticated and intriguing design, both in materiality and execution.”
— Juliette Arent, Arent & Pyke.
